Ode To Evona [Part III]
The Lord then finally spoke:
“If you adore someone so… why the compliance to let her go?
To wilfully place your spirit to bear its life and passion bled?
And each breath a reminder be that you within are dead?!”
“How could it be that happiness you would ignore to let an angel escape?
Life is like a thread and once it’s severed
You will never be able to tell, whether in hell or heaven
If the deliverance you deserve with you’ll ever tether!”
But… of love there is always something to learn, your Highness
To chase after what is not yours is as wrong as a crooked prong
As such enterprise is childish and guided only by blindness
For true maturity shows where one does and does not belong
My Lord, turmoil in her life she no longer needs
And why not aid the Angel who is worth so much to me?
Only because in her eyes what I feel I will never get to see?
Destinies have paths and I know together we shall not be
Yet, love is not love only because we wake in the same bed every morrow
Or is fair like Themis’ scale of justice, or as random as Eros’ blind arrows
But knowing I made a difference in her life by taking away her sorrows
Proves to God beyond any doubt, that of all roses she will always be my rose
“A large chance you have placed in a woman of such esteem
For if so, she’s as free as a bird to fly and never look back as she betrays
And as powerful as I am, I humbly know to never under deem
The influence of a woman whose heart migrates ‘til the end of her days”
My Lord, euphoria feeds upon itself and fear is the last thing on my mind
As there so many things in this world none can ever force or have reign over all
Sir, is not up to me to battle what I have no wish to fight
As it is the Fates who embrace the right to bequeath our share of fair and strife
“Enough! Stop wasting thy inconsequential breath! As love’s plight concerns me not!
…You named and received thy prize. Thus, live with the justice as paid by your Lord
An Angel-breeder is what she is. Her pedestal useless outside my dorm
Now, be gone! My House of affairs needs only the lives of those who’ll yet be born.”
