From the heart

Let me start. Let go

Behold where we stand

Do not deem nor fret

Let not tears flow while morrows flicker by

Lest we forget

What we lusted

Embraced, craved & feared

What we lost

Endless hours within endless hours

Of candle-lit nights and lifetimes shared

Every night a deliciously usurping life overtaking the last

Cherishing Utopian dreams and lands of milk and honey

Cared for nothing

Feasted in our hunger

And wined carnality!

Allowed Olympus to blush for us

We CARED not for anything

——o——

Ah! Let the sounds of the city below us drown

The silence of our lives now

Do you hear it? That twilight of hope?

The equinox of our fleeting hearts?

Such elegancy in love!

I hear it on the horizon. Waking me.

Voices.

No… Just one voice. Gentle and serenading, just there, in the honest distance.

Closer then before and surprising, calling.

Understanding and in the dark

There …so close. Teaching.

What a dubiously simple lesson… For today, I am happy.
